A Swiss research company, Covalence, periodically publishes a ranking list that measures, according to various parameters, the ethics of large multinational corporations. At the bottom of the list are thus the worst companies in the world, those who have a serious negative impact on the lives of people for working conditions or the damage they cause. It is not really an exhaustive catalog of the evils of the world, but it is a good approximation.

There are no translations available.

Now that the Christmas celebrations are gone and we have put aside the
sparkling wine of the new year, we must return to face reality, especially
the economic one. These days the Italians began to assault the shops due to the opening of the sales season, which should give a breath of fresh air to the traders. But the Italian economy fails to recover its losses because, according to Istat, we are in a stalemate.

Early 2009, in Calabria starts the super stage of the Regional Council. An opportunity
for "young unemployed excellences" that many have not
missed, because these stages were well paid: € 1000 a month for 24 months.
But now that the first year comes to an end, an intern disappointed
by the exploitation received and from the fake stage writes a letter to the
Chairman of the Regional Council, Giuseppe Bova.

Holding out: this is what Italian families and businesses are doing, says the last Censis report on the social situation of the country. No planning for the future, the Italian family, today, lives day by day. And it could not do otherwise, since, according to the data, over the last year 162 thousand businesses have closed in the trade and service sectors.

Many people believe that the internship can help to enter in the working world and that it can help to make some contacts, not only to have something more on your curriculum. But in Italy a stage does not help very much. Because, as often happens in this country, there is no control. On May 6, 2009, Isfol (Institute for the Development of Workers Training) and Republic of the interns (a website) have opened a poll to see who is the Italian intern. And now they have the first results.

Economy Minister Tremonti has just unleashed a debate on all the Italian newspapers stating that a permanent job is better than a precarious one. It's such an obvious statement, as he admitted himself, but caused a sensation because in our country at least since 10 years almost all political forces have carefully refrained from defending permanent work. Widespread precarious jobs with fixed-terms and low wages contracts are the land of toys for Italian companies, who have no intention of giving them up.
