John Keats è uno dei più famosi poeti inglesi di sempre, precursore del romanticismo insieme a Byron e Shelley. Ma tutta questa fama non poteva nemmeno immaginarla nella sua breve vita, spenta dalla tubercolosi in un piccolo appartamento di Piazza di Spagna, a Roma, nel 1821, quando aveva soltanto 26 anni. Nonostante la frase che volle scritta sulla sua tomba "Qui giace uno il cui nome fu scritto sull'acqua", Keats ci ha lasciato molte opere e molte lettere e ha avuto un impatto duraturo sia sulle persone che lo hanno conosciuto sia su molti altri nati e vissuti dopo di lui, fino ai giorni nostri.

In un film del 1955 Totò finiva in manicomio dopo aver minacciato di uccidere il suo superiore. La minaccia era nata dopo aver subito per anni le angherie del suo capo e, prima ancora, quelle di molte altre persone. Ricoverato in ospedale, Totò racconta a un medico come lui divide l’umanità: due categorie, uomini e caporali.
