Someone must have noticed that we are no longer in 1969, when the discrimination against homosexuals was on the agenda. On June 3 came the news that the city of Rome had not yet granted permission for the gay event on this Saturday. Many people have protested and at the end something has changed.
Supporters of gay pride had decided to seek all possible roads to enforce their rights. So they demonstrate in Street for the Gay Pride (last Saturday), also to spread the news among the people; they collect signatures in support of the appeal addressed to the prefect Giuseppe Pecoraro; they appealed the Tar and the President of the Republic to defend a general principle, what is the freedom of expression.

In the end police gave the permission to demonstrate: the Mario Mieli circle of Rome, leader of the thirty Italian associations that have set up the initiative, communicate this news. The event will follow the path that leaves from Piazza della Repubblica to Piazza Venezia going to Piazza Navona. The event last year led to Rome "more than 100 thousand people" and this year they are waiting for "hundreds of thousands of demonstrators on the basis of the many messages of solidarity and closeness reached all the associations and because of the high number of contacts on the official Roma pride website in these days. "
Organizers are waiting  for many people because the problem of "censorship" has attracted attention, and so also the site of gay pride in Rome has already crashed over the contacts.

Even Gianni Alemanno (major of Rome), who according to the organizers has "only belatedly to resolve the problem of location of the Pride ", could be take part on the march whose slogan is "Free all men, free all women",
People are still angry against a government that does not ever try to protect gay and against an administration that has done everything to mess up the gay pride. So Mario Mieli club announced that it will continue the legal action before the Tar (about previous bans) to try getting a result of law, to prevent situations of this kind in the future.

But now it's time to prepare the big day on Saturday, which will be only the dress rehearsal of the National Day of June 27 in Genoa. But there won't be only the parade. In the coming days, in Rome, there are, indeed, other cultural events. Ranging from international film festivals trans-divergent (11 June) to the photo exhibition "The Art of Diversity" (June 12) until the tournament Campo de 'Fiori (always 12). Tomorrow, it will also be the tournament "a football injury," a football match between women vip and lesbian and Thursday a concert by Roma Rainbow Choir of the church "St. Paul's Within the Walls. "

The coming days will be just the dress rehearsal of the National Gay Pride to be held in Genoa on June 27. Another appointment to warm in the 'Euro Pride 2011, again in Rome. And there we can not afford to deny routes and appointments because we will lay it on the line our image worldwide.
