doctors and illegal immigrantsThere are many countries in the world where health care is poor or non-existent for a large part of the population, which then dies of curable and trivial diseases. Or spread inections that could have been stopped in time. It happens in poor countries, it happens in countries at war. It happens in Italy, today, thanks to the smart rules of the so-called security decree.
The first victims are a Ukrainian caretaker of 40 years, died in the province of Bari after a miscarriage, a Bolivian boy of 21 years, ended up in a coma for peritonitis, a Nigerian girl of 24 years, died of pulmonary tuberculosis . They hadn't gone to hospital because they were afraid of being expelled. And then there are cases like that of the Senegal boy that went to the hospital for treatment of a toothache but wasn't cured and received the expulsion order.
The requirement for doctors to report illegal immigrants was removed from the decree because with the crime of illegal immigration the reporting is in fact implicit, as have clearly denounced the unions of the category. The Cgil noted that even before the law the presence of immigrants in hospitals had fallen by 20% only for the effect of fear, but the decline will become increasingly important. So illegal immigrants will continue to die of curable and trivial diseases as sometimes happens in their countries of origin.
They'll die of  diseases curable but also very dangerous for the Italians themselves, such as tuberculosis. The politicians who voted this ingenious decree not only endanger the lives of illegal immigrants, but also those of the Italians who could be infected with diseases that must be treated in hospitals for the health of all. A masterpiece of intelligence.
But the League and company are probably happy if immigrants die because they believe that a clandestine it is actually a criminal, and managed to convince of this enormous falsehood also a good part of the Italian population. The illegal immigrants are mostly decent people who work, and they become such in periods of unemployment or illegal work. The majority of so-called illegals hasn't even come illegaly into Italy. But the negligent and politically biases media don't say these things. And then in Italy in 2009 people can die of tuberculosis or bleeding. As in the "third world".
