finalfrontierofrealityIn Italy nobody thought about this, but sometimes you can think it would be good for the quality of journalism, especially in these sultry days.
The news (for a journalist) should be all, the speed is the basis for the scoop, but today in the fury of sensationalism what happens it does not seems to be more worthy of note. So sometimes the news is created from nothing.

There is a long chatter in recent days on the newspaper Italian websites on love stories, real or not, of a famous american actor. Even some American newspaper talked about this.
But what journalist are doing now is very different from what Francisco Wallace Cavalcante de Souza was able to do. He always had some news to talk about. He was even able to describe the murders, as first, arriving on the scene of the crime still hot.
His program had a growing share, which means more possibilities to stay on the air, more publicity and, above all, more guarantees to become a star.
Compared to what Cavalcante de Souza has managed to build, the false family disputes received from tv programs, the false jokes to "celebrities", the cameras indiscreet of all realities seems something really easy to do.
His Canal livre has managed since 1989 to collect peak share despite being on a local Brazil network.

Then the courts, surprisingly, have opened an investigation on the showman and member of Parliament and former police officer. The motive is to take from these murders a higher share, and then a good profit.
The survey focuses on six crime scenes and could reveal the last frontier of the TV show: death in the service of share.
The former policeman has not invented anything new. A 1980 film directed by Bernard Tavenier entitled La mort en direct, tells a story about a society where people are so stupid because of the lack of imagination and human feelings to live their life through the screen of a television set, looking into a program called "Death Watch".
The plot in this case was a little different, but it anticipated what would later developed: the growing interest of many viewers on any kind of movie or TV series in which death without complaint is told in detail.
In this case Souza combines fun and useful to obtain his scoop is also ensured the elimination of competing drug dealers.
The bad luck was that a man of the band has revealed all, allowing the attorney general of the state of Amazonas to discover the unthinkable straw.

Tastes have changed in recente years: once on TV you watched the old film, the award program,  journalism program (real, though) now the popular public wants something more, better if voyeur. Watching the other without being seen. Whether is Big Brother or the show that "discover" new talent, the competition for survival of old and new public figures, the recovery of the constant lifting of desperate people, or the death live, has little relevance.
