Such a shameful law as the criminalization of illegal immigrants in the security decree has been approved and sold to the Italians just for a reason. Because for years the information has determined the equation between clandestine and criminal, and people just hearing the word think to cases of violent rapists and robbers, even if the illegal immigrants who have committed violent crimes are really a small minority.
Someone else has committed small crimes, but the truth is that 90% of 600-800000 undocumented immigrants in Italy are normal people, which in most cases simply work illegaly in a country where illegal work is too common. But telling the truth on this issue does not seem to have a big effect, because in Italy the truth drowns in the sea of lies spread by the regime's media.
Then let's talk about specific cases, of real people. Stories that were not seen in national television.
